Bugonia is a 2025 dark comedy-thriller directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It follows two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap a high-powered pharmaceutical CEO, convinced she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. The film stars Emma Stone as Michelle Fuller and Jesse Plemons as Teddy Gatz. With its mix of sci-fi, black humour and social satire, it offers a unique cinematic tone crafted by Lanthimos.
